Today we worked on our websites. We added a PDF and folders to organize our stuff better.
Today I opted out of doing the sketchup and instead did the list of requirements for the new kart we are going to build.
I am worried because tonight I have to present these to Dr. Ferraro and he is a nice guy but is really tuff on ideas.
Today we did the pipe throwing wednesday challenge and my team lost. I am a little disappointed but its ok.

Today in Robotics club I started out working in fab because we got part of the CAD and could
start making pieces. I helped Nathan measure out the pieces so we could cut them to propper lenghth. Also we worked on putting the field together a little bit .

Today we learned about SMAP which is a satalite that scans the earths surface for water and can make a map of the world in like 48 hours. It's really cool.
Today we had a warmup to CAD a skateboard wheel and it was really easy. It didn't even take me 5 minutes but it looks really good.

Today we worked on our notebooks and I showed off the robot chasis that we finished last night in robotics club. The last few days in Robotics club we have been working on finishing and assembling the chasis
this has taken quite some time but today we have seen the fruits of our labor because we now have a moving robot to give to the software team. Here is the CAD of the chasis and the finished chasis.
Today we made a sketchup of 1x1 square tubing and it was really easy cause I have to do it alot with JPL Chall and other projects
Today we had a wed challenge about reviseing Adrians idea about makeing totes for handouts at comp. My idea was to use resin instead of acrylic to keep heat low and curing time fast.
Here is a link to the place I think we should get our resin. We like to get it here because they make it fresh everyday and sell it in large quantities.
Today we started work on cardboard cars but I was working on my website and further working on the powerpoint for the handout making an accurate price. This is what I now have thanks to help from adrian on what we already bought.
Today I went to Rosemont with Jacob and Lucas to present to the eighth graders about what they can do at CV specifically we talked about robotics.
The plan was that we would get up after the people talked about foreign languages and introduce ourselves. When introductions were complete Jacob would talk about the programing classes and how cool they are,
then he would give me the mic and I would talk about engineering class finally I would give it to Lucas who would talk about Robotics club. I think it went really well. We got great response from the kids after we brought out Alice.
I was absent today but WHile I was fom I worked on making a mold for the handout but it didnt work.
Today I was excused from the wedchall to work on the handout. I found the stuff we need to make the molds and had Ms. Martos order it for same day shipping.
Today I worked on my website a little and then I worked on what the order will be when I have all of the supplies for the handout. Yesterday I had Ms. Martos order the rubber mold and it should be at her house tonight.
Today I worked on completeing my website for the week and the stuff to make the mold came so I can make the mold for the handout with the 3d printed totes from Kevin S. This is the stuff I had ordered.
This weekend I made some totes out of resin but they didnt work so today we problem solved and tried hot gluing the ends of the battery holder so that resin dosnt get in and cause problems. I am going to bring all
the stuff we need to cast the resin tomorrow and we will get all the resin tomorrow from the store in Ventura.
Today we made two practice totes with the red resin however niether of them worked. The first of which was made with the good mold and a good circit and the second was made with the crappy mold that dosnt have a
lip and a circit with the big LED and it looked ugly. Niether of them worked unfortunatly.
Today my mission was to make as many molds for the totes as possible. I was able to make another seven molds so we now have a total of eight good molds.
Today the circit people made more circits and my mission was to make eight totes with working LED's. I started by getting all the ircits properly shaped and then getting it poured at lunch once we had enough circits.
Today we had time to work on our websites and then I am going to go make another eight totes with a new idea for how to make them.
Today we debunked the switch being the problem as we found solution however have now found ourselves with a problem of the batteries not working or making good connection. with the circuit.
today we did a wedchall and I was a judge. I made a excel sheet that demonstrates the results. The challenge today was to determine why the totes werent working.
Today we had another wedchall that was oriented around finding a way to keep the batteries safe.
Today we we tried to make the circuits work and I made six more molds. Everytime we Make molds they get better because of practice.

Spring break for me started on Thursday March 12th when I went to the Long Beach Competition for robotics to help get the robot through inspection, get the pit setup and do some pit scouting of the other teams.
We got back to school at about five o clock but we had to be back at schoool at six thirty the next morning abnd then we got on the bus started our way down there and ended up late because we were on a crash that stalled us an hour and a half . once we
got to competition I had a great time and cant wait to go to Ventura. Also I went backpacking with Sam from monday untill thursday In the Kern River Valley. It was alot of fun!
Today I worked on making more totes using the new idea from Jacob where we used straws that had one end blocked around the batteries so that the air would keep the resin out of the batteries.
Today we packed stuff for the Ventura Regional and Prepared the upper chasis for competition.
Today I got to the school at 6:30 and got on a really nice bus to go to ventura competition. We ended up in 12th place over all which meant that we got to be a team captian and start an alliance for finals.

Today is open house and we continued to clean the shop until it sparkled. It is pretty.

Today we went tp klean the white bords and ian ended up on the floor because james killed him. LOL #nojoke #rofl. and then we discussed ideas for mentor gifts.

Today Jacob James Ian and I went into the shop to talk about the mentor gifts and MIT gifts for the end of the robotics season. We have already decided at a meeting last week on the gift that we will be making the mentors.
Our project for today was to make a schedule of what needs to happen and by when it needs to happen. We also made a circuit and a test tote that was destroyed before I could get a picture of it. Tomorrow we hope to have a list of the people customizing the mentor gifts and a CAD
of the other mentor gift.
Today we tried to make a sketchup but other things arised and so we began working on finding resistors of the right size that would keep the lights from blowing up due to overpower.
Today we didnt have robot class because of Block but the lights stayed on all night.

Today in robotics I was working on the mentor gifts for the robotics banquet which will be held on the thirtith of april. The main goal for today was to make a mold of the big tote so that we would be able to make our casts.
Today the goal was to make some working circuits for the totes. Our idea was to use resistors to reduce the amount of poewr going to the lights so they wouldnt blow up. Also we began planning the tote for Mr. Miller.

Today we cast Mr. Millers tote. We put in it a ruler, some metal, and a welding tip that he destroyed.
Today was stressful and busy we cast all the other totes today except for Millers so it was almost nonstop work.
All in all it was good and I am glad it is over. Tonight we had the banquet and it was really fun I did a speach for Daniel Palmer and i think I did good. I was complemented by Dr. Neat ond other parents of team members.
Today we started to clean up and prioritize the different things that have to be finished.
Today we started work on a mechanism to push out a cake onto the table at Ms. Evans daughter's birthday. We are going to just work on Daniel P's idea because it is almost done and i like the design.
Today we were excused from the wednesday challenge so that we could work on finishing the cake pusher outer. Today I made some special arms that help hold the cake better. They are made of aluminum
L chanel and are drilled so they bolt threough the same hols the old flapers did.
Today we tested the cake pusher outer to make sure that we wouldnt hurt anyone at the party. We ended up putting spools of copper wire on the platter and pushing the whole platter out onto the table.
I was absent today cause I was sick.
Today we found out that our next project was to work on stephanie and put her back together because she was takin apart for a test platform during season. Our goal is to make her drive and do a pull-up.
